Born in 1971, Germana Martano graduated in Business Economics at Bocconi University in Milan and earned a Master Degree in Economics (Mec) at the same university. She has been a chartered journalist enrolled in the national professional body since 1999.
Since April 2005, she is General Manager at Anasf (Associazione Nazionale Promotori Finanziari), with ten-year experience in leading the association to provide its 12 thousand members with quality services, and lobbying Parliament, Government and Authorities for the right regulatory framework.
She began her activity in 1996 as an editor at MF - Milano Finanza, a major Italian newspapers in the financial sector, initially as a financial journalist, then as the journalist in charge of the first front-page on funds and managed ever seen in an Italian financial newspaper.
From 1999 to 2001 she was Responsible for the News and Economia sections at Omnitel 2000, a company in which she also took care of the start up of the multi-access portal, with responsibility for relationships with the content providers.
From February 2001 to 2005, she was Chief editor at Morningstar. She took part in the launch of Morningstar in Italy, mainly working on analysis and rating of mutual funds. She was also responsible for the editorial office and for the relationships with the media.
